1st August 2011

Fantastic night last night in the Kings Arms. Good to see some of the old crowd on the dance floor, great keys from Dangerous Dave, and thank you so much Kenny Kerslake on the drums! We should be gigging again any minute now, so keep a look out here on the website for dates. And one day soon I will get that new DVD finished!

29th July 2011

The Liquidators are playing at the open mic in The Kings Arms, Georgeham (Nr. Braunton) this Sunday night. We'll be playing a half-hour set, and Dangerous Dave will be on the keyboards, along with Steve, Giles, Melvin and Paul. SEE YOU THERE!!

4th July 2011

Last Sunday night The Liquidators played a blinder of an impromptu gig at The Thatch in Croyde, to a packed and enthusiastic crowd. As usual loyal friends and supporters sang the words in case we forgot, and Steve was on top form. Good to see Melvin, Giles and Steve knocking out the classics once again - what a class performance!

Totally made up were a group of squaddies who had been disappointed to find that it was the the Liquidators tribute band, The Liquidators AKA at OceanFest earlier on in the day, and were over the moon to find the real thing in The Thatch that evening.

What a night - watch this space for more to come.

July 2011

Henley Regatta Music Festival (aka The Historic Caravan Club) was a storming success, work is progressing on a new live DVD which should be ready by summer 2011, and our new multi track digital studio is up and ready to go. First band in should be Social Taboo (yes, they really were victorious over 'Muse' in a Battle of the Bands in the Cavern, Exeter!), followed by 'The Universe Inspectors'

By the way, I have been asked to make it clear that 'The Liquidators AKA' are not a tribute band, and have nothing to do with The Liquidators ...

Yes, it is confusing, and no, I have no idea either. Maybe they just like the name and would rather be a Ska band?

Incidentally, don't miss The Universe Inspectors, Croyde Village Hall Saturday July 9th, on stage 10.30pm to 12.00am

The Liquidators have built up a reputation for delivering no nonsense up tempo dance-oriented SKA . We don't rely on regurgitating classic Two Tone from the 70's & 80's, love it as we do, but prefer to find our roots in pre-reggae Jamaican SKA . Our inspiration comes from TROJAN RECORDS, and all that came before and after. We just like to do it quicker!

The Liquidators DVD/CD recorded at The White Lion is available here, and at all our gigs (Just ask for GILES)
T-shirts also now available - two great styles in black or white, various sizes

These shots taken at OCEANFEST 2008. As usual it was a great success thanks to you guys who gave us such a fantastic reception. Hopefully we'll see you there this year!

Ladies & gentlemen ... MEET YOUR FEET!!!
